Jessie Gardner attended the University of West Georgia before transferring to Georgia Southern University, where she obtained her B.S.Ed. in Mathematics Education in 2005. She taught at Claxton High School her first year. For the next ten years, she taught all levels of math at Effingham County High School. While at ECHS, she was a co-sponsor of FCS, helped audit local pageants, and participated in Relay for Life.
Mrs. Gardner earned her M.Ed. in Instructional Technology from Georgia Southern University in 2009, and later her Gifted Certification from North Georgia College & State University. In 2013, she obtained her Ed.S. in Curriculum & Instruction from Lincoln Memorial University.
In 2016, Mrs. Gardner became the Director of Mathematics at Effingham College & Career Academy when they opened their STEM Academy. She taught classes ranging from Honors Algebra I to Accelerated Pre-Calculus. She became certified to teach AP Calculus in 2017. While at the STEM Academy, she was also a co-sponsor of FCS and HOSA. She taught there for two years before relocating to Central Georgia to join the Warhawk family.
Mrs. Gardner’s husband, Shane, is a Houston County native. They have been married for sixteen years and have three active boys. In their spare time, they enjoy going to the lake and spending time with friends.
