Dr. Okaiwele has been teaching for 20 years, and will be entering her 9th year at Veterans High School. She will be teaching Environmental Science (1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 7th) and Anatomy and Physiology (4th and 6th), but has previously taught Biology, and Distance Learning. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Jackson State University(2003), her Master of Science Degree from Pittsburg State University (2006), her Master of Science in School Leadership from Baker University(2012) and her Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership from Baker University (2021). She moved to Georgia in 2015 when she married her husband Martin and has 1 daughter, Ruthielynn.
