Kelly Ward is the new Military Family Life Counselor (MFLC) here at Veterans High School, and she is planning for the Month of the Military Child. As you are probably aware, April is designated as a month to honor the sacrifices made by our military families worldwide, specifically those asked of the children. Children in military families face unique challenges that are unparalleled in the general population. At Veterans High School, it is our aim to honor and highlight the resilience, determination, and great strengths these challenges build in our military students. One way Mrs. Ward would like to highlight these is to provide candy grams to our military kids.

In order to send a candy gram, at no cost, for your military child, we are asking service members (all branches including reserve and national guard) who have students at our school to write a letter to your child expressing your gratitude and appreciation for who they are and their support of your mission through the years. To have a candy gram sent, please send your letter via email to no later than APRIL 5TH.  If you have any questions you may email or call Mrs. Ward at 478.230.1844.
