Mrs. Cleaveland has been teaching in the Houston County School system for 15 years in the Special Education Department.  She has experience teaching in each academic area in high school, but she focuses on math and is highly qualified in this subject.  Through her educational career Mrs. Cleaveland has served as an SAT Coordinator, Teacher Support Specialist, TAPP Mentor, Partner’s Club Sponsor, Chess Club Sponsor, Better Seeking Team Representative, and Special Education Department Chairperson.  She and her husband, who teaches in Dublin, live in Cochran where they enjoy the peace and quiet of the lovely countryside.  Between them they have two lovely daughters and two handsome sons—one daughter just graduating Magna Cum Laude from UGA with a degree in English Education, the youngest daughter attending Middle Ga College pursuing a degree as a Physician’s Assistant, the oldest son completing a Graphic Design degree at Georgia Southern University, and the youngest son attending Middle Ga College in Sheet Metal.  Education is important to the Cleavelands, and Mrs. Cleaveland is currently pursuing her Ed. D. in Teaching and Learning.
