Mr. Vivas is originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico, having also lived in Santiago de Compostela, Spain for six years. Mr. Vivas got his bachelor’s degree in foreign languages from Millersville University in Pennsylvania, his teacher certification from Mercer University, and his master’s degree in Spanish language, culture, and education from the University of Salamanca, Spain.
Presently Mr. Vivas resides in Hawkinsville, Georgia, where he taught for three years at Hawkinsville High School. Previous to this, Mr. Vivas taught at Houston County High School for eight years, and is glad to be back doing things “the Houston County way”. He is married to Teresa Vivas and has three children, Rebecca. Justin, and Kaley, and has two dogs, Nick and Buster, with whom he spends a lot of leisure time. In his off time Mr. Vivas likes to deer and turkey hunt and play golf.
