Mrs. Bowen graduated from Georgia Southern University with her Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology and minor in Psychology in 2019, She also received her Masters of Arts in Teaching in Math and Science from Georgia College and State University in 2021. Mrs. Bowen is certified in secondary science as well as middle grades math and science. She has also taught middle grades science, environmental science and physical science. 

Mrs. Bowen has been married to her husband, Derrick Bowen, since 2021 and they have a son, Palmer, who was born January 2024.
