Welcome to the V!
Warhawk Nation is a fantastic place to be!
Mrs. Layfield is excited to be a part of Warhawk Nation and is passionate about helping students grow and succeed. She has been in education for 18 years. She earned her undergraduate degree from Brewton-Parker College in 1995 and her master’s degree in Instructional Technology and Library Media from Georgia College & State University.
Mrs. Layfield taught middle school for 10 years before transitioning to high school history, and she is now thrilled to begin a new chapter teaching Family and Consumer Science (FACS) classes. She is especially excited to serve as the FCCLA advisor, where she looks forward to guiding students in leadership, service, and real-world learning experiences.
She has been married to her husband, Clay, for 30 years and they have three adult children. Outside the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling the world, and enjoying a cold Diet Coke.
Let’s make this a great year, Warhawks!
