Mrs. Leah Jones has been teaching Special Education for 6 years and started her teaching career in Peach County before moving to Houston County in 2017. She graduated with her Master of Arts in Teaching Special Education in May of 2013 and her Ed.S in Special Education in May of 2017 from Georgia College and State University. Mrs. Jones has been teaching students with Moderate Intellectual Disabilities at Veterans High School for going on three years. She is also a sponsor of Partners Club, a club that helps general education students build relationships with students with special needs. She is also a coach for Special Olympics Rhythmic Gymnastics. Mrs. Jones loves her job at the “V” and is proud to be a Warhawk. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her husband, son Aaron and their cat, Pepper. She also likes to read, travel, and watch movies.
